Femke’s Launch & Recent Issues with Shipment

Some of you might be wondering why Femke is still only available for pre-order on our website and elsewhere, when the publication date was the 20th April. Well, it came as a surprise to us too!

Femke was printed and bound abroad and there were delays in the shipment arriving. We had been expecting stock initially to arrive at the end of March, but unfortunately that has been pushed back to May. Nobody is more frustrated by this than us. Pre-orders made before the original publication date have been fulfilled with some advance stock, as well as a few bookshop orders. This means a few exclusive early copies are available from the following bookshops:

Topping & Co., Edinburgh
Golden Hare, Edinburgh
Blackwells South Bridge, Edinburgh

In the meantime we are extending our offer of the exclusive first chapter video with music by Joseph Petric, so if you’re so inclined do pop over and place a pre-order now to receive what is really a special piece of content.

Thursday 20th April saw a wonderful pre-launch event at the Scottish Poetry Library, with an outstanding performance by Emily Kemp, readings by poet Tracey Herd and the author David Cameron, and a fascinating Q&A chaired by Alistair Braidwood of Scots Whay Hae!

Thanks to everyone who came along, and for those who didn’t, you can enjoy a few snaps below…
